Overview
This funding provides up to $20,000 for a one-year capacity-building project. It supports non-profit agencies to strengthen youth violence prevention through staff development, collaboration among youth-serving organizations, and improved processes and systems that support equitable access to early prevention services.

Documents Needed
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a registered non-profit society, community service organization, co-op, or a social enterprise wholly owned by a non-profit and in good standing with the Registrar of Companies.
- OR the applicant must be a registered charity in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency.
- OR the applicant must be a First Nations Band.
- The proposed capacity-building initiative must strengthen the organization’s ability to address youth violence prevention.
- The initiative must align with at least one Focus Area in the City of Vancouver Youth Safety and Violence Prevention Strategy and address identified priorities.

- Alignment with at least one Focus Area in the City of Vancouver Youth Safety and Violence Prevention Strategy.

- Applicants may work with a fiscal sponsor to meet the required registration status.
- Capacity-building initiatives must align with at least one Focus Area in the City of Vancouver Youth Safety and Violence Prevention Strategy.
