• Step 1: Apply for the building permit
  • Submit the building permit application online.
  • Complete the required fields and upload the Building Permit Application form.
  • State in the description that the work is part of the Regional Basement Flood Mitigation program.
• Step 2: Upload supporting documents
  • Wait for the email link sent after submission.
  • Upload the completed Building Permit Fee Grant Waiver form, site plan or survey, floor plan, and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Step 3: Request a refund, if applicable
  • Email the completed waiver form with your name, address, and building permit number.
  • Include Halton Region subsidy confirmation if available.

• The building permit application is reviewed after submission.
• Applicants receive an email link to upload supporting documents.
• The Town verifies Halton Region subsidy enrollment when required.
• A refund request is processed after the required information is sent by email.
