- Applicants whose project is outside the designated CIPA
- Applicants with litigation pending against the Municipality, if deemed ineligible
- Applicants involved in recent or repeated illegal activity, if rejected by Council

- Studies, plans, drawings, analyses, and assessments
- Facade improvement works
- Interior and exterior building and property improvement works
- Rental housing renovation or construction costs
- Planning, building, heritage, and sign-related fees
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Studies done only for purchase or sale due diligence
- Short-term rental units
- Seasonal rental units
- Security deposits
- Cash-in-lieu payments

- Buckhorn Community Improvement Project Area (Buckhorn, Ontario)
- Properties immediately adjacent to the CIPA may be considered case by case
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by municipal staff.
- Staff makes a recommendation to Council or Council’s designate.
- The application is approved or refused by Council or its designate.
- Some programs require a Grant Agreement before funding is issued.
- Applicants may appeal a refusal to Council.

- Applications are only accepted after the plan is adopted and approved.
