- Travel, accommodation, participant transportation, office supplies, and materials.
- Translation, interpretation, meals or refreshments for project activities, and honoraria.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Replacing goods or services already funded by another government source.
- Existing core activities or regular operating expenses.
- Costs already covered by police service agreements, including police salaries and policing services.
- Costs needed to sustain the organization outside direct service delivery for the proposed initiative.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the City of Barrie’s Community Safety Committee.
- Applications are scored using a matrix and ranked against the evaluation criteria.
- Funding recommendations are made based on the ranked results until the budget is exhausted.
- Applicants are notified after all applications have been reviewed and funding has been allocated.
- Successful applicants must sign an agreement before funding is finalized.
