Who is eligible?

  • Tenants applying without the property owner’s consent.
  • Applicants that are not property owners.

Eligible geographic areas

  • Bracebridge, Ontario.
  • Priority Sites in Bracebridge, including 19 Monck Road, 28 McMurray Street, 101 Entrance Drive (Muskoka Foundry), Bracebridge Power Centre North, Bracebridge Power Centre South, Canyon Court Business Park, selected CT tourist commercial resort properties, and vacant lands zoned C1, C3, C4, M1, and M2.

Selection criteria

  • Whether the project is considered substantial at the Town’s discretion.
  • Increase in assessed value of the property.
  • Project contribution to community improvement goals.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Pre-consultation
    • Contact the Economic Development Officer before applying.
    • Discuss the project and confirm whether a complete application is required.
  • Step 2: Complete the application
    • Fill out the online CIP application form.
    • Provide the required supporting information and quotes.
  • Step 3: Submit for review
    • Submit the application to the Town through the online form.
    • Wait for review by Economic Development staff.
  • Step 4: Approval and start of work
    • Receive formal approval before starting any project work.
    • Begin the project only after approval is issued.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by Town Economic Development staff.
  • The Town determines the grant value after approval based on the reassessed value.
  • Project work must not start before formal approval.
  • A Notice of Decision is issued following approval.
  • Project completion must be reported within 12 months of the Notice of Decision.

Additional information

  • Applicants are recommended to request a pre-consultation with the Town’s Economic Development Officer before applying.
  • Project work cannot begin until formal approval is received.
  • Funding approval may lapse if project completion is not reported within 12 months of the Notice of Decision.
