The Community Improvement Plan page now states that all available funding through the Town of Bracebridge CIP programs has been fully allocated for 2026, and new CIP funding applications are no longer being accepted at this time. It also tells applicants to check back for future funding updates and program availability. On the CIP application form, the 2026 intake is now closed, the old application form and program selection options were removed, and the application log shows updated approved totals of $60,000.00 in grants and $33,634.87 in loans. The program still reflects up to 50% cost coverage for eligible projects, and the contact email remains ecdev@bracebridge.ca.

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Property owners.

Eligible geographic areas

  • 19 Monck Road; 28 McMurray Street; 101 Entrance Drive (Muskoka Foundry); Bracebridge Power Centre North; Bracebridge Power Centre South; Canyon Court Business Park.
  • Caribou Lodge, High Falls Resort, and Inn at the Falls in lands zoned CT – Tourist Commercial.
  • Vacant lands zoned C1 – Office Commercial, C3 – General Commercial Zone/Downtown, C4 – District Shopping Centre, M1 – Business Park, and M2 – General Industrial.

Selection criteria

  • All sources of additional funding and incentives must be declared at application submission and will be considered upon review and evaluation.

How to apply

  • Contact the Economic Development Officer for a pre-consultation before submitting an application by email or by calling 705-645-5264 ext. 3511.
  • Submit the application through the online CIP application form.

Processing and Agreement

  • Project work cannot commence until after the application has been formally approved.
  • Funding approval will lapse if the Town is not notified of project completion within twelve (12) months of the date of the Notice of Decision.
  • The Director of Planning and Development may grant an extension for community improvement works following receipt of a written request by the owner setting out the reasons for the extension.
