  • Applicants and supervisors who are not SQHA members in good standing.
  • Students receiving financial support from another official provincial, federal, or international organization.
  • Recipients of a previous SQHA training scholarship applying for the same type again.

Selection criteria

  • Academic record and research path, including motivation for research, transcripts, scholarships and distinctions, scientific publications and communications, and social involvement.
  • Research project, including the introduction, hypothesis, protocol, expected results and impact.
  • Scientific supervisor and co-supervisor, including their CVs, publications, scientific communications and expertise in the field.
  • Quality of the presentation.

How to apply

  • Prepare the application documents in the required order and in French, except CVs where English is accepted.
  • Combine all documents into one PDF file.
  • Email the PDF to info@hypertension.qc.ca by 9 April 2027 at 15:00.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission, and files that do not respect all instructions are not evaluated.
  • Applicants will be notified in mid-June 2027.
  • Recipients must provide proof of full-time enrolment before scholarship payments are made.

Additional information

  • The training scholarships are awarded in three equal instalments.
  • Scholarship cheques are issued to the recipient’s institute or research centre.
  • Recipients must provide proof of full-time enrolment to receive payments.
  • A researcher can submit no more than three candidates from the same team.
