- Applicants operating in the commercial, institutional, industrial, or multi-unit residential sector with 4 or more dwellings
Eligible expenses
- Economizer installation on a steam boiler
- Micromodulation system installation
- O2 probe installation on a boiler with micromodulation
- Thermal insulation for equipment, accessories, and piping
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Thermal insulation of piping under this stream
- Thermal insulation of steam traps under this stream
- Insulation on networks other than hot-water or steam networks, such as oil networks
- Adding a second or third stage to an existing economizer
- Thermal insulation of equipment that does not function properly when insulated or whose insulation could cause inconvenience
How to apply
- Consult and complete Formulaire I – Conditions et déclaration d’intention.
- Send Formulaire I to efficaciteenergetique@energir.com before work begins.
- Wait for Énergir’s acceptance email.
- Complete the boiler optimization work described in the request.
- Send Énergir the supporting documents and the appropriate Formulaire II for a steam boiler or a hot-water boiler.
- Receive the subsidy after the file is processed and approved.
Processing and Agreement
- Énergir sends an acceptance or refusal email after reviewing the initial request.
- From the acceptance date, the client has one year to complete the work and submit the end-of-work documents.
- Énergir reviews the file and may request modifications if needed.
- Énergir confirms in writing the acceptance or refusal of the aid and the subsidy amount.
- When the file is complete and compliant, Énergir issues the cheque and may inspect the project site; if the declared work was not implemented, the client must immediately reimburse the subsidy.
