Eligible expenses

  • Artist and project team compensation
  • Directly related equipment, up to $2,500
  • Consumable supplies such as ink, paint, or paper

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Operating expenses and ongoing expenses
  • Project phases that begin before the application deadline
  • Project deficits, budget deficits, or contingency funds
  • Capital expenses, including major property or equipment purchases
  • Feasibility studies, start-up costs, seed money, and fundraising activities

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first reviewed for eligibility.
  • Eligible applications are assessed by independent peer panels.
  • The panel determines funding levels and any conditions on payment.
  • Applicants are notified of results in writing by email.
  • Final results are stated as final.

  • Applications are accepted through the BC Arts Council Grant Management System.
  • New applicants must register and create a profile before applying.
  • Registration requests may take up to four business days to process.
  • Results are expected in early February 2026.
