  • Mandatory employment costs and benefits
  • Travel and accommodation for temporary relocation
  • Supplies, materials, and project-related costs
  • Equipment directly related to the project, up to $2,500
  • Mentor compensation for supplemental hours

  • General operating expenses
  • Capital costs and property purchases
  • Equipment over $2,500 or not directly related to the project

  • Creation, development, or preparation of new work as the main activity
  • Projects that begin before the application closing date

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are first reviewed for eligibility by the BC Arts Council.
  • Eligible applications are scored by an independent peer assessment panel.
  • Applications are ranked, and funding is awarded based on that ranking.
  • Applicants are notified by email about 16 weeks after the closing date.
  • Final reports are required within 30 days after the project ends.
