Who is eligible?
- B.C.-based individual established artists
- Arts administrators and artistic support staff
- Museum or Indigenous cultural centre professionals
- Production and technical personnel
- Indigenous artists with eligible prior support from the First Peoples’ Cultural Council
Who is not eligible
- Applicants working under a private or for-profit entity
- Projects already funded through other BC Arts Council grant programs
- Projects funded through certain third-party delivery partners
- Commercial-sector projects such as architecture, fashion, film, music, games, journalism, and graphic design
- Projects primarily focused on art therapy, health, or therapeutic work
Eligible expenses
- Travel and transportation
- Per diems and accommodation
- Borrowing, crating, freight, shipping, and insurance
- Project-related equipment or materials
- Touring fees, wages, rentals, and rehearsal-related costs for Category 1
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- General operating costs, ongoing expenses, and grant writing fees
- Capital costs over $2,500, including construction, renovation, or property purchase
- Creation of new works
- Fundraising, family, religious, or community celebration activities
- Commercial-sector projects, demo reels, merchandise, and art therapy projects

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed for eligibility first
- Eligible applications go to an independent peer assessment panel
- Applications are read, scored, discussed, and ranked
- Funding decisions are communicated by email
- Final reports are required after project completion
Additional information
- New applicants must register in the online grant system before applying.
- Only one application is allowed per intake.
- Applicants can receive only one Arts Circulation and Touring grant per BC Arts Council fiscal year.
- Grant recipients must acknowledge BC Arts Council and the Province of British Columbia in promotional materials.
