FNEP 2026 eligibility, dates, and application steps updated
The FNEP 2026 page now specifies who can apply, including B.C. First Nations and Tribal Councils, and adds project requirements such as B.C. location, connection to BC Hydro’s integrated distribution system, 51% First Nations ownership, and a commercial operation date before December 31, 2032. - Complete a FNEP 2026 Basic Distribution System Information (Basic D) Request.
- Complete an Interconnection Study, BC Hydro Request for Proposals (RFP) package, and NRT Grant Application.
Processing and Agreement
- Successful applicants will enter into a funding agreement with the NRT and an Electricity Purchase Agreement (EPA) with BC Hydro.
