Overview

This program provides up to 25,000 Barter Credits™ to support Canadian charities with administrative and overhead needs. Eligible activities include services such as printing, construction, videography, web development, marketing, and merchandise, excluding core wages.

Activities funded

  • Obtaining operational goods and services through BarterPay vendors using Barter Credits™
  • Implementing administrative or overhead support initiatives for a charity (excluding core wages)
Examples of admissible projects:
$ 24,000
Reduce charity overhead with website rebuild, printing, and facility refresh
$ 25,000
Upgrade donation operations with storage build-out, web tools, and outreach

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a charity operating in Canada.
  • The request must be for support delivered through Barter Credits™ within the BarterPay ecosystem.

How to apply

Step 1: Introductory call
  • Book a call with the Director of Business Development to learn more about the program.
Step 2: Needs assessment and wish-list
  • Work with a Barter Coach™ to develop a wish-list of required goods and services.
Step 3: Vendor matching and fulfillment
  • Get connected with BarterPay vendors that accept payment in Barter Credits™.
  • Make and fulfill requests using Barter Credits™ within the BarterPay ecosystem.

Processing and Agreement

Additional information

  • Barter Credits™ are used within the BarterPay ecosystem and are valued 1:1 with Canadian dollars.
  • Charities can access Barter Credits™ on an as-needed basis once distributed by the Foundation.
  • BarterPay members may donate Barter Credits™ to the Foundation and receive a charitable tax receipt.
