8.2 Scholarship Standing

Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • International undergraduate students beyond their first year of studies.

Who is not eligible

  • Students with permanent residence status, for the Shahana Islam Memorial Award.
  • Students who do not also hold an International Undergraduate Academic Award in the same academic year, for the September 11, 2001 International Award.
  • Students who fail one or more courses during the scholarship year are not eligible for scholarships.

How to apply

  • No application is required; eligible students are automatically considered for the listed awards.
  • Students should declare a faculty and/or major if they want to be considered for faculty, school or department scholarships and awards.

Processing and Agreement

  • Faculty, school and department awards are recommended by the faculty, school or department.
  • The Keith Burt Entrepreneurial Award for International Students is awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on the recommendation of the Director, Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship.
  • The Shahana Islam Memorial Award is granted to undergraduate students by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on recommendation from the Internationalization Office.
  • The September 11, 2001 International Award is awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards on the basis of a recommendation from the Director, Office of Student Recruitment.
