- Costs related to the sale of cultural products or services, including distribution, transport, transaction fees, rights, commissions, and sales taxes
- Activities outside the core mission of the organization
- Projects already funded by other SODEC programs or fully funded by other government programs
- Activities that do not target SODEC-eligible client groups
- Festivals, programming events, trade shows, and public or professional markets

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by SODEC professionals and, if needed, external experts
- Files are assessed comparatively against mission, impact, sector context, and government or SODEC priorities
- A funding agreement must be signed before aid is granted
- SODEC may request additional information or supporting documents during processing and follow-up
- Reporting and accountability obligations are set out in the agreement

- Applications must be submitted in French, unless an exception applies.
- Support is generally awarded on a three-year cycle.
- For some cases, support is granted on an annual basis only.
