Overview
IDEA Grants provide up to $3,000 to support flexible, one-time arts programming opportunities led by not-for-profit organizations without an arts mandate. Funding is intended for new, innovative, developmental, or experimental arts projects and events that increase access to and participation in the arts.
Activities funded
Examples of admissible projects:

Organizing community art workshops and exhibitions to promote local artists
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a not-for-profit organization that does not have an arts mandate.
- The project must be an arts programming, project, or event that is new, innovative, developmental, or experimental, or that improves access to arts participation.
- The project must be a one-time opportunity (not ongoing core programming).
- The applicant must be located in, or deliver the project within, the eligible region: Saanich, Victoria, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, Highlands, Metchosin, Sooke, or the Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area.

- Non-profit organizations without an artistic mandate that wish to develop an artistic program.

- Organizations with an artistic mandate or for-profit organizations.
