IDEA Grants provide up to $3,000 to support flexible, one-time arts programming opportunities led by not-for-profit organizations without an arts mandate. Funding is intended for new, innovative, developmental, or experimental arts projects and events that increase access to and participation in the arts.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a not-for-profit organization that does not have an arts mandate.
  • The project must be an arts programming, project, or event that is new, innovative, developmental, or experimental, or that improves access to arts participation.
  • The project must be a one-time opportunity (not ongoing core programming).
  • The applicant must be located in, or deliver the project within, the eligible region: Saanich, Victoria, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, Highlands, Metchosin, Sooke, or the Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area.

  • Non-profit organizations without an artistic mandate that wish to develop an artistic program.

Who is not eligible

  • Organizations with an artistic mandate or for-profit organizations.
