Who is eligible?
Established, incorporated not-for-profit arts organizations operating in Ottawa or nearby First Nations communities
Selection criteria
- Applications are peer-assessed before prioritization.
- Priority is given to applications from Anishinabe Algonquin Nation, First Nations, Inuit, Métis, IBPOC, people with visible and invisible disabilities, non-ambulatory persons, D/deaf people, refugees, immigrants, newcomers, 2SLGBTQIA people, people living in poverty, rural residents, Francophones, seniors and older adults, women+, and youth.
- Support material is used to assess the merit of the work proposed and provide documentation of past and proposed activities.
How to apply
- Submit support material via the Cultural funding support unit’s online portal by uploading the files directly or by inputting the URLs.
- Test all electronic materials to ensure readability and quality.
- Provide cue times as part of your description for audio or video files.
- Rename all files in plain text; file names cannot contain special characters including accents, commas or hyphens.
- Provide a brief description of the content and its relevance to the proposed submission.
- Identify any support material that contains potential triggers such as flashing lights, violence or strong language.
Processing and Agreement
- Support material will be reviewed by the evaluation committee.
- Support material plays an essential role in assessing the application, including the merit of the proposed work and documentation of past and proposed activities.
- For audio and video files, the total review time cannot exceed 7 minutes per application.
- You will not be contacted if submitted support materials do not function.
