The Arts Equity Funding Initiative provides vital financial support to professional artists and organizations, with maximum awards up to $15,000 for developing new work and $12,000 for presentations and professional development activities. The program aims to promote diversity, community engagement, and artistic excellence, especially among marginalized communities facing barriers to access.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a professional artist, arts organization, or non-profit organization registered in Nova Scotia.
  • The project must align with the program categories: Create, Present, or Professional Development.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a capacity to undertake arts projects or activities.

  • Professional artists based in Nova Scotia.
  • Arts organizations registered in Nova Scotia.
  • Groups of three or more artists creating a new work together, with one member accepting the funds.
