• Registered not-for-profit organizations
• Charitable organizations

Who is not eligible

• Individual artists
• Collectives and ad hoc groups
• Organizations that are not registered not-for-profits or charities

Eligible expenses

• Operating expenses
• Programming costs
• Initiative-related costs
• Eligible base-budget increases tied to service delivery

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Capital projects
• Programs that are part of an accredited college or university
• Fundraising activities
• Events or projects that have already taken place

Eligible geographic areas

• North Vancouver

• Leadership within the arts community
• Level of service and people served
• Demonstrated need and intended outcomes
• Alignment with North Vancouver community plans
• Artistic merit, management quality, financial need, and community support

• Step 1: Confirm eligibility approval
  • Contact arts-grants@nvrc.ca to obtain approval to apply before submitting.
  • Eligibility must be established with Cultural Services staff in advance.
• Step 2: Prepare the application package
  • Complete the required forms and budget materials.
  • Gather financial statements, client profile information, and support materials.
• Step 3: Submit electronically
  • Send the application package electronically using a supported file-sharing method.
  • Do not use fax.
  • Ensure all required materials are accessible and included.
• Step 4: Follow post-approval requirements
  • If approved, complete the grant acceptance steps and provide any required reporting documents.
  • For the original signed application form, mail the wet-ink signature copy after approval if requested.

• Applications are reviewed by the NVRC Grants Review Committee.
• Recommendations are submitted to the NVRC Commission for final approval.
• Applicants are notified by email of the decision.
• Approved applicants must complete the grant acceptance steps before payment is requested.
• Final reporting and required documents must be received before payment is released.

• Approval to apply must be obtained before submitting an application.
• Successful applicants may receive one-, two-, or three-year funding.
• Annual accountability and reporting are required for recipients.
