Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Registered not-for-profit organizations.
  • Community service organizations.
  • Community associations.
  • Heritage societies.
  • Parent advisory councils (PACs).
  • Merchants or business improvement associations.
  • Multicultural societies.
  • Other recognized community groups and organizations.

Eligible expenses

  • Anticipated project expenses.
  • Estimated in-kind support such as donated equipment, volunteer labour, or free professional services.

  • City of North Vancouver.
  • District of North Vancouver.

Selection criteria

  • Project Proposal: clearly outlined description of the project idea.
  • Artwork Location: publicly accessible, neighbourhood context, owner permission.
  • Artist Facilitation: résumé, expertise in relation to the project, images of previous work.
  • Community Benefit: amount of community engagement and articulation of community benefit.
  • Feasibility: financially, technically, and within projected timeframes.

  • Submit the application form and materials electronically by email to arts-grants@nvrc.ca.

Processing and Agreement

  • Grant applications are reviewed by the North Vancouver Public Art Advisory Committee.
  • They are subsequently adjudicated by the NVRC Arts Grant Committee.
  • Funding recommendations are presented to the North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission for final approval.
