- If artists choose to drive instead of fly, funding will not exceed the lowest available airfare, including GNWT private car kilometer rates and hotel costs while in transit

- Per diems, incidentals, salaries, and honoraria
- Unapproved expenses and GST, HST or PST on eligible expenses
- Funding to participate in an artist cohort through the Artist to Market Program (AMP)
- Costs incurred before the application is submitted
- Artistic development activities such as residencies, workshops, and mentorship
Selection criteria
- Applications are assessed on a first come, first serve basis until the annual budget is exhausted.
How to apply
- Review the application guidelines before applying.
- Download and complete the Artist Travel and Touring Fund application form.
- Prepare the supporting documents: copies of quotes, proof of residency, samples of work, and an artistic resume.
- Submit the completed application form and supporting documents to your regional ITI office.
Processing and Agreement
- Applicants will be informed in writing within 15 business days after a complete application is reviewed whether approval has been granted and which eligible costs have been approved.
- Approved applicants receive a contribution agreement outlining the funding terms, payment schedule, and reporting requirements.
- The signed contribution agreement must be returned to the regional ITI office within 30 days of receiving it.
- Applications must be approved before the activity begins, and expenditures made before approval are not considered.
- To receive payment, applicants must have a GNWT account in good standing, and payment is processed and sent within 14 to 30 days after GNWT receives the signed contribution agreement.
