How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete volunteer process
    • Finish the volunteer onboarding process at the City of Richmond Hill volunteer page.
    • Be at least 14 years old and hold the required Bronze Medallion certification or higher.
  • Step 2: Choose an aquatic volunteer opportunity
    • Log in to the volunteer database.
    • Select the Aquatic Volunteering Recruitment opportunity and complete the form.
  • Step 3: Volunteer and track hours
    • Work the required volunteer shifts.
    • Complete the tracking form after each shift and have it signed by the on-duty supervisor.
    • Log hours in the volunteer profile and email the tracking form after the volunteer term.
  • Step 4: Submit recognition request
    • Complete the Aquatic Volunteer Recognition Discount Form once the required hours are reached.
    • Email the completed registration form and Volunteer Hours Tracking form(s) for review.

Processing and Agreement

  • Volunteer hours are validated and cross-referenced with the volunteer profile.
  • An email confirmation is sent once hours are approved and registration is completed.
  • Payment must be made within 24 hours after confirmation.

  • Community Service Volunteer hours may also count toward this program.
