- Households whose members are Canadian Citizens, Landed Immigrants (Permanent Residents), refugee, or refugee claimants.

- Households where any member owes money to a social housing provider, has been convicted of an offence related to rent-geared-to-income assistance, or has been found by the court of law or the Ontario Rental Tribunal to have misrepresented income for rent-geared-to-income assistance.
- Households that exceed the income or asset limits.

- Women with children who have experienced abuse are given priority.
- Otherwise, rent-geared-to-income housing is based on the date of the application.
How to apply

- If you have applied for social housing in the past or are already on the waiting list, use your registration code to manage your application online.
- If you have never applied for housing and are not on the waiting list, register an account before you can start a new application online.
- To register your account, you need a Registration Code, First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Email Address.
- If you believe you have an active application with Grey County Housing, do not create a new account; call 519-376-5744 to get your application code.
Processing and Agreement
