Who is eligible?
- APEGS members, either professional or in-training, who are members in good standing.
Who is not eligible
- Applicants who have previously received this grant.

Selection criteria
- Accomplishments in the practice of professional engineering or professional geoscience which indicates exceptional potential. (40%)
- Demonstration of leadership, volunteerism and community involvement. (10%)
- Service to the professions in public education, understanding the role of professionals in society and/or active participation in engineering/geoscience associations, societies and institutes. (30%)
- Submission of written essay outlining why they are pursuing the post-graduate degree, goals, personal statement, how their studies will contribute to the professions. (20%)
How to apply
- Submit applications through the Contact Us page and indicate “Member Education Grant Application” in the subject line.
- Use the APEGS Member Education Grant Form to apply.
- Applications must be submitted in writing addressing the information requested in the application form.
- Send the application to the APEGS office by email or by mail.
Processing and Agreement
- The grant recipients are decided by the Awards Committee.
- Applications received by December 31 of the calendar year will be evaluated for award of the grant in the following calendar year.

- Only the successful applicants will be contacted by APEGS.
- The grant is presented at the APEGS Awards Gala, typically in early May of each year.
