Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, slanderous, insulting, or life-threatening content
- Serious, unproven, unsupported, or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations
- Abusive, aggressive, coarse, explicit, vulgar, violent, obscene, or pornographic content
- Content that encourages or suggests illegal activity
- Announcements or endorsements of financial, political, labour, commercial, or non-governmental organizations and agencies

How to apply
- Upload your video to YouTube and email the completed contest entry form and the video link to the WSCC Contest Coordinator at videocontest@wscc.nt.ca.
- Or send the video on a CD, DVD, or USB stick and mail it to the WSCC Contest Coordinator at Centre Square Tower, 5th Floor, 5022 49th Street, Box 8888, Yellowknife, NT X1A 2R3.
Processing and Agreement
- Entries are judged by a panel, and the judges’ decisions are final and not open to dispute.
- Before collecting a prize, each individual or team member involved in a winning entry must sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded.
- Contestants who are not 19 years old need parent or legal guardian authorization to participate and accept a prize as awarded; in a team entry, each member under 19 must also obtain parental or guardian consent.
- Contestants and, where necessary, a parent or guardian must consent to the use, reproduction, publication, transmission, and broadcasting of their name, community, likeness, school, age, grade, and prize information without compensation.
- All entries become the property of the contest organizers and will not be returned.
Additional information
- WSCC administers the contest on behalf of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), and territorial winners advance to the CCOHS-organized Canadian National Finals.
- The contest welcomes submissions in all the official languages of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and videos can be in any language.
