Who is eligible?

• Not-for-profit organizations supporting Canadian music creators and publishers.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Activities unrelated to supporting Canadian music creators and publishers.
• Commercial or profit-generating activities.
• Activities outside of the scope of the supporting organization’s mission.
• Expenses not directly related to the organization’s operational activities.

• Applications are reviewed by the SOCAN Foundation Manager.
• Recommendations are made by a special committee of the board of directors.
• The full board makes the final decision at quarterly meetings typically held in March, June, September, and November.
