Overview
Funding of up to $10,000 supports local charitable and non-profit organizations in Alectra’s service territory. It funds community programs and events aligned with sustainability priorities such as food and housing security, health access, equity, education, and environmental conservation.
Activities funded
- Initiatives supporting food security and housing security
- Programs improving mental health and access to health care
- Indigenous support and reconciliation initiatives
- Community supports for vulnerable groups (seniors, children/youth, low-income households)
- Environmental conservation and animal welfare activities
Examples of admissible projects:

Weekly fresh-food pop-ups with cold storage and delivery support

No-cost youth counselling and group workshops with accessible referrals

How to apply

- Confirm your initiative benefits communities within Alectra’s service territory.
- Plan to apply during the July to September portal window for the following year.
- Access the application portal when it opens in July.
- Enter organization and initiative details in the online form.
- Specify the funding amount requested within the application.
- Submit the completed online application before the portal closes (July to September).
- Expect notification of funding status by the end of the year.
