Income Support regulation and forms updated
The Income Support, Training and Health Benefits Regulation now shows new eligibility and benefit rules, including added conditions for notice of assessment, fraud convictions, program-obligation failures, exemptions, and revised health-benefit pathways. The regulation also reflects major changes to core income support administration, including new Schedule 3.1 treatment, monthly amounts, shelter rules, annual escalation, and direct-pay conditions, with expiry now shown as 2030. Supporting policy and form pages were also revised. Children’s school expense procedures now add age-specific eligibility and substantiation rules, new annual rates, and a required form process for 18- and 19-year-old dependent children, while consent and declaration forms update program coverage wording and contact details, including Alberta Supports help line hours and program-specific FSCD/PDD contacts.

Who is eligible?
- Albertans who are working or seeking employment
- Albertans who have barriers to full employment
- Albertans participating full-time or part-time in training programs
Who is not eligible
- Members who are not present in Alberta
- Members who are incarcerated
- Members convicted in the previous 12 months of the specified fraud or offence provisions
- Members of barriers to full employment household units or expected to work or working household units if an adult member receives a benefit under the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped Act, except under section 3.04
- Members of expected to work or working household units who fail to comply with a program obligation for more than 6 consecutive months, and for the following 3 consecutive months except under section 100

- Clients in the Income Support program need to maintain their files and update their records if there are any changes.
