- Vehicle and equipment operating costs
- Program materials and supplies
- Office operations and contracted services
- Extension and outreach education activities
- Capital items or leases up to $5,000 per year for legislative activities, and up to $5,000 per year for resource management activities

- Capital items over $5,000 per year
- GST, alcohol, and cannabis
- Costs already funded by other government grants or programs
- Producer contributions, donations, grants, and livestock arrangements
- Non-agricultural education and extension activities, and school programs

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the Minister or the department against eligibility and program funding constraints.

- Payments depend on continued eligibility, compliance, and approved annual reports.
