Selection criteria

  • Projects are examined in the two priority areas of carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas mitigation.
  • Particular emphasis is placed on proposals that include advancing carbon sequestration as an important part of project activities.

How to apply

  • Go to the Online Registration Tool to begin your process.
  • Before starting your online application, have your health card and the address and phone numbers of all parents or guardians ready.
  • The corps or squadron staff will contact you to arrange a time to review official identification and address any questions requiring clarification.

Processing and Agreement

  • After receipt, AAFC verifies that all required forms and declarations are complete and that there is sufficient detail for a full assessment.
  • Your application should not be considered submitted until you receive a notice of acknowledgement from AAFC.
  • You will be notified when your application has been deemed complete and ready for assessment against the criteria of the program.
  • You may be contacted throughout the review process to provide additional information or clarification.
  • Successful applicants must enter into a funding agreement with AAFC before payment, and AAFC aims to send an approval or rejection notification letter within 70 business days of the close of the application process.
