- Necessary project travel, limited conference travel for highly qualified personnel, and contractor services directly related to the project, including commercialization assessment fees
- Indirect costs, and equipment acquisition costs for laboratory equipment and other components

Selection criteria
- Projects carried out in collaboration with rural and isolated communities are given priority.
- Priority is given to solutions for care navigation, hearing assistance, and intergenerational matching.
- Integration of EDI principles and submission of an ACS Plus plan are part of the evaluation criteria.
How to apply
- Request the registration form by email.
- Complete the registration form and submit it to the program by 23:59 ET on August 19, 2024.
- After the registration review, selected teams receive a proposal form.
- Prepare the project proposal with the team and designate a principal applicant.
- Submit the proposal to NRC by email by November 1, 2024.
Processing and Agreement
- The registration form is evaluated to determine project eligibility and alignment with program objectives.
- The proposals are reviewed by the geotechnological innovation committee, which sends recommendations to the BNP of the NRC.
- The NRC sends the evaluation results to the principal applicant.
- The NRC conducts due diligence and ratifies a funding agreement with selected applicants.
- Funding is paid and the project can begin; at the end of the project, the principal applicant submits a final report and may include a proposal for the next NMT stage.
