How to apply
- Step 1: Prepare application materials
- Gather the mission statement, supporting legal status documents, and other required group information.
- Prepare the financial statement, next-year budget, and program or event schedule.
- Step 2: Compile supporting documents
- Include board or executive committee details, residency verification, and insurance certificate where required.
- Attach any agreement letters or other information requested by the department.
- Step 3: Submit the application
- Send the complete application to the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department.
- Step 4: Await decision
- The Town reviews the application and sends the eligibility decision in writing.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the Manager of Recreation, Community Engagement and Events, or designate.
- The Town responds within 15 business days after receiving a complete application.
- Eligibility or ineligibility is provided in writing.
- Approved groups must follow the policy and may be asked for additional information later.
Additional information
- Affiliated status is approved for a maximum of two years.
- Groups must reapply to renew their status.
- Approval is not guaranteed in subsequent years.
- Outstanding debts to the Town must be paid in full before approval.
