Who is not eligible
- Businesses whose main activity is weapons production or distribution
- Businesses whose main activity is fossil fuel exploration, extraction, drilling, production, or refining, except activities aimed at a transition to a low-carbon economy
- Businesses whose main activity is gambling, violent games, or sexual exploitation
- Businesses already selected under Fonds Propulsion with an ongoing project, or businesses that failed in the previous two years to meet obligations after formal notice linked to prior financial aid
- Businesses under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act or the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
Eligible expenses
- Direct reasonable costs and investments aimed at increasing productivity or evolving the commercial offer
- Innovative equipment and materials needed for growth, purchased from non-affiliated companies
- Development of an innovative internal solution or tool
- Studies to improve processes and productivity, including feasibility studies and studies to integrate or implement artificial intelligence
- Productivity-enhancing IT tools, such as an ERP, and adaptation to the circular economy

- Application preparation costs
- Expenses incurred before the file is submitted
- Debt service, loan refinancing, or repayment of an advance
- Operating salaries
- Any expense deemed ineligible by the selection committee

- Innovative project that addresses a problem for the business - 25%

- Project viability, including financial structure and operational planning - 25%

- Quality of the project presentation, structure, and precision and realism of the objectives - 10%
How to apply
- Complete the application and submit it before Monday, April 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- Make sure the file includes all required documents
Processing and Agreement
- Eligible files are evaluated and prioritized by the selection committee
- Projects are retained until the financial envelope is exhausted, and recipients are announced in June 2026
- No individual comments are provided if an application is refused
- To claim the final 50%, the beneficiary must submit a claim request summarizing the project’s highlights, social and economic impacts, and eligible expenses, along with all invoices and proof of payment
- If the project is not carried out according to the pre-established conditions or the expected results are not satisfactory, the MRC may withdraw all or part of the aid; the company must remain in business to receive the final payment
