Overview
This program funds Indigenous-led innovation and social entrepreneurship in Canada, with seed funding up to $125,000 for up to 12 months and transition-to-scale support up to $1,000,000 per year. Supported initiatives must align with one priority area—Land story, Food sovereignty, Tech, or Wellness—and describe how they honour the Lands, Waters, and Skies while advancing gender equality.

- Projects improving food security, including supply chains, food production, or food access (Food sovereignty).
- Tech innovations that increase digital access or support data sovereignty for Indigenous communities (Tech).
- Wellness initiatives supporting mental health and well-being using an Indigenous approach, including youth mental health.

Eligibility
- The project must be led by a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit female, Two Spirit, queer, trans, non-binary, or gender-diverse person in Canada.
- The applicant must be Indigenous.
- The project must align with one of the program’s four investment priority areas (Land story, Food sovereignty, Tech, or Wellness).
- The project must describe how it honours the Lands, Waters, and Skies through environmental sustainability practices.
- The project must describe how it upholds gender equality (e.g., creating safe spaces, removing barriers, or uplifting gender equality throughout the innovation’s lifecycle).
Who is eligible?
- Canadian not-for-profit corporations, partnerships, associations, and trusts
- Canadian for-profit corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, associations, and trusts (for non-commercial activities not intended to generate profit during the project period)
- Indigenous governments in Canada (including band councils, tribal councils, and self-government entities and their agencies)
Who is not eligible
- For-profit organizations proposing activities intended to generate profit during the project period
- For-profit organizations proposing commercial funded activities

- For-profit projects where the funded activity is commercial or intended to generate profit during the project period

- Applications are reviewed on a quarterly to semi-annual basis.
