Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Organizations from Eureka member countries

Who is not eligible

  • Companies with more than 2,000 full-time equivalent employees are not eligible for funding in France
  • Research organisations and universities are not eligible for funding in France
  • Applications submitted to Eurostars Call 11 in parallel are not eligible in Switzerland
  • Research organisations or university Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and research institutions (RIs) can only be funded as a subcontractor to a private enterprise in Singapore

How to apply

  • Contact your national funding body to discuss your project idea, financial viability, eligibility and national procedures.
  • Create an account on the application portal and select the funding opportunity.
  • Complete one application form per consortium in English and invite other consortium partners to fill in a partner form.
  • Upload a GANTT chart, a signed and completed co-signature form, and any additional required annexes.
  • If successful, complete and sign a consortium agreement.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications will be checked for completeness and eligibility before being reviewed using a standard evaluation procedure.
  • If successful, the project will receive a Eureka label.
  • Your national funding body may carry out a further evaluation according to national rules before allocating funds to successful applicants.
  • The final step is to complete and sign a consortium agreement.

Additional information

  • Applications are reviewed independently by each national funding body before a final joint project selection.
  • Participants from non-participating countries may join consortia if they secure their own national funding or self-finance their work.
  • Canadian SME applicants may apply to more than one NRC IRAP call for proposals simultaneously, but NRC IRAP may limit the number of funded projects per applicant and/or the total amount of funding per applicant.
  • For Switzerland, applications submitted to Eurostars Call 11 in parallel are not eligible.
