Activities funded
- Activities that foster intercultural encounters and dialogue, such as intercultural events or shows featuring Quebec artists from diverse backgrounds and world storytelling evenings.
- Intercultural mediation activities using painting, theatre, dance, poetry, and similar media.
- Awareness and training activities on ethnocultural diversity, human rights and freedoms, and anti-racism, including conferences, expert panels, workshops, discussion forums, cinema exchanges, and reading or signing evenings.
- Activities that highlight the contribution of people from all origins through portraits, video capsules, testimonials, and podcasts, or that showcase the positive contribution of immigration and diversity through exhibitions, city visits, and intercultural historical trails.
- Activities promoting inclusion and anti-racism, such as marches, advocacy, awareness campaigns, forum theatre, role-playing, discussion groups, debate evenings, human libraries, blind meetings, and coffee gatherings.

Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Community, cultural, sports, or recreation organizations
- Legally constituted non-profit organizations or non-profit cooperatives that do not pay patronage dividends or interest on members' shares
Eligible expenses
- Expenses directly related to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the project.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Activities already existing or financially supported by MIFI or other funding programs, or activities that fall under the mission or programs of other ministries or government organizations.
- Celebrations of national holidays or commemorations.
- Projects focused on promoting customs or traditions, or projects of a religious nature.
- Twinning activities.
- Projects aimed at learning or practicing French, donation solicitation campaigns, and projects intended to generate profits.

Selection criteria
- The interactions fostered by the project between people from immigrant backgrounds and the host community, and the ways each audience will be reached.
- The project’s outcomes for immigrants and the host community.
- The project’s level of innovation and community reach.
- The involvement of immigrants in project conception and organization, together with the organization’s experience, organizational and financial capacity, realistic budget, and partner contributions.
- The geographic distribution of projects, with projects submitted by a consortium of three or more partners receiving priority.
How to apply
- Complete the application form and sign it electronically.
- Complete the budget forecast electronically.
- Include partner commitment letters, if applicable, and any other relevant document.

Processing and Agreement
- Selected organizations must indicate the financial participation of the City and MIFI in their main communications and publications, in line with the public communication protocol.
- Selected organizations must promote the activities on the MIFI and Québec animée websites.
- Selected organizations must allow representatives of the City and MIFI to attend the initiatives, projects, or events.
- Selected organizations must use the amounts received only for the accepted project and repay any sums not used for the intended purpose.
- After the project is completed, selected organizations must submit the accountability report and the final financial statement.

The applicant must be a legally constituted non-profit organization or a qualifying cooperative.
The organization must have its head office in Quebec and be in good standing with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec.
The project must be accessible to City of Quebec residents, take place in Quebec City, and meet at least one program objective.
