Processing and Agreement
- The SCF first reviews the applicant and project for admissibility.
- Eligible projects are then reviewed for content and may be sent for an opinion of relevance to government bodies.
- A consultative committee reviews projects that received a positive recommendation from the SCF.
- The SCF makes the final recommendation and submits selected projects to the minister for approval.
- Applicants receive a notice of approval or refusal, and approved applicants sign a financial assistance agreement.
Additional information
- Each organization may submit more than one project, with one form per project.
- A project can be submitted by a non-Indigenous organization if it serves Indigenous communities or works in close partnership with an Indigenous organization or community.
- The applicant organization must already exist at the time of submission.
- Projects must be distinct and cannot be simple continuations of previous projects.
