- Record of Site Condition preparation
- Demolition of abandoned or derelict buildings
- Environmental monitoring, clean fill, grading, and related LEED fees

- Step 3: Submit to the City
- File the complete application with the City.
- Applications may be submitted concurrently for multiple program components.
- Step 4: City review and Council decision
- City staff review the application and supporting materials.
- A report is prepared for Council’s approval or rejection.
- The applicant is notified in writing of the decision.
- Step 5: Agreement and implementation
- If approved, execute the Brownfield Site Agreement and related bylaw.
- Proceed with eligible work and submit required follow-up documentation for payments.
Processing and Agreement
- Application review by City staff.
- Staff report submitted to Council with a recommendation to approve or reject.
- Applicant notified in writing of Council’s decision.
- If approved, a Brownfield Site Agreement and related bylaw are executed.
- Grant payments begin only after required conditions are met.
