The Winnipeg Art Gallery Foundation is a separate, fully accredited charitable foundation created to provide long-term financial support for the Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG). Incorporated in 1978, it operates with its own board of trustees and governance structure, ensuring that donated funds are professionally managed and directed toward the artistic and institutional priorities of the Gallery.
The Foundation’s income is generated from general gifts and donations, bequests, grants, transfers of property, planned giving, and insurance-based gifts.
