The Vancouver College Millennium Foundation is a separate legal entity from Vancouver College Limited, incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia in April 2003 and recognized as a tax-exempt registered charity and public foundation. Its primary role is to act as the vehicle for bequests, annual giving, and capital donations that sustain and enhance Vancouver College, the province’s only independent Catholic school for boys.

Through the management and allocation of donated funds, the Foundation helps finance campus renewal projects, specialized facilities, and program enhancements, as well as strengthening the school’s long-term financial stability. The school operates the Blessed Edmund Rice Financial Assistance Program, which offers assistance with tuition and all school activity fees for families in financial need. Families apply through a confidential process overseen by the Director of Finance and a Financial Assistance Committee, who review applications and determine support levels. This program, together with structured family discounts for multiple sons, reflects the commitment that no boy be turned away because of financial means.

The Foundation’s funding is focused on Vancouver College students and their families, rather than on external organizations. Its impact is felt through improved learning environments—such as new buildings, music and arts spaces, athletic facilities, and technology—as well as through direct relief of educational costs. Historic and ongoing campaigns, supported by alumni, parents, and friends of the school, have financed projects ranging from new courts and fields to major campus redevelopment.

The Vancouver College Millennium Foundation is overseen by members and directors listed on the site, separate from but aligned with the school’s governance.
