The foundation’s early efforts focused on strengthening pediatric health care at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Through community fundraising, it has raised more than $240,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and successfully helped purchase a life‑saving ECLS machine, a key piece of critical-care equipment. Beyond major equipment, the foundation also supports mental wellness and grief-related programming delivered in schools and community settings.

Education is another core pillar. The foundation funds the Max Robinson Advanced Placement scholarship grant at Edison School, reflecting Max’s love of learning and academic curiosity. It also recognizes young children for positive citizenship, reinforcing leadership and kindness in local communities. These scholarship and recognition activities demonstrate that the organization provides direct financial awards as well as program funding.

The Max Robinson Children's Foundation works closely with partner organizations to reach families in need. A key collaboration is with the Pregnancy, Infant & Child Loss Support Centre in Calgary, where the foundation finances a sibling grief program. This program offers children art, group therapy and other modalities to help them process the loss of a brother or sister, at no cost to participating families.

To sustain its funding efforts, the foundation organizes annual events under banners such as “Max Month”, operates raffles and bottle drives, and partners with services like SkipTheDepot that convert recyclables into donations. It also runs seasonal campaigns and product sales, with proceeds directed back to its hospital, scholarship and grief‑support initiatives.

Guided by Max’s example of love, curiosity and compassion, the foundation aims to inspire children and families to act with love and to move forward with hope.
