Stable Harvest Farm is a nonprofit community farm and hands-on learning hub based on a 65-acre agricultural land trust in Langley, British Columbia. The farm was founded by Syd Belzberg, whose long history of philanthropy and interest in agriculture shaped the project’s mission. After decades in the transportation industry and extensive charitable giving to hospitals, education, and other causes, he converted the property into Stable Harvest Farm to focus on feeding people in need and teaching children about where food comes from. The first harvest in 2020 produced roughly 90,000 pounds of vegetables for donation, and subsequent seasons have significantly expanded both the volume of food distributed and the number of students welcomed each year.
