Reno Jouets Foundation: Making a Difference for Children
About Reno Jouets Foundation
The Reno Jouets Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty by donating recycled and refurbished toys to organizations that help disadvantaged and sick children. Established in 2006, it originates from the social enterprise store Reno-Jouets, which, thanks to its surplus of toys, enables the foundation to provide these toys to numerous social organizations. By giving toys to children in need, the foundation aims to brighten their lives and foster their development.
How the Foundation Works
The foundation collects, refurbishes, and distributes nearly 50,000 toys annually to children from low-income families or those facing illness. Relying on the efforts of over 300 volunteers and with the support of generous donors, the foundation partners with community organizations to reach as many children as possible. Any community organization, non-profit, or charitable group assisting children in need can request toys through a simple online form.
The Board of Directors
The Reno Jouets Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors, bringing together a team with a wide range of expertise. Together, they ensure the wise use of resources and the ongoing happiness of children who benefit from the foundation’s work. The board is made up of dedicated professionals from various fields, including marketing, finance, law, real estate, and construction, all united by a common mission to make a lasting impact for children.
Meet CHARITABLE: The Foundation Mascot
CHARITABLE, the foundation’s cheerful and friendly mascot, brings joy and smiles to hundreds of children who have not chosen poverty as their companion. Thanks to community support, CHARITABLE embodies hope and sparks happiness in the eyes of the children reached by the foundation’s efforts.
Why Support the Reno Jouets Foundation?
Supporting the foundation is a simple yet powerful way to ensure every child has the chance to play and grow. Every donation helps refurbish more toys and deliver them to organizations supporting disadvantaged children locally and internationally. In addition to fostering child development—enhancing their curiosity, language, coordination, and sensory skills—donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt, making giving both meaningful and beneficial for donors.
Community Partners and Beneficiaries
The foundation collaborates with numerous partners and organizations, such as Autisme Québec, Moisson Montréal, Fondation rêve d’enfants, and international initiatives in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire. This wide network allows the foundation to maximize its impact and enrich the lives of children in various communities.
Get Involved
You have the power to make a difference! Whether by donating funds, volunteering, or spreading the word, every gesture helps build a better future for children in need. Together, we can ensure every child has the tools to learn, grow, and dream—one toy at a time.
