Grant and Funding Programs Offered by Dominican University College Foundation (FCUD)

The Dominican University College Foundation (FCUD) is the philanthropic arm of the Dominican community in support of the Dominican University College and its Dominican Center for Studies and Formation (CDEF). Created in 1982 and based in Montréal, the foundation mobilizes individual and institutional donations and channels them to a community dedicated to study, research and teaching in the Dominican intellectual and spiritual tradition.

The foundation’s financial support helps sustain university-level programs in theology, exegesis and philosophy, as well as shorter public activities such as conferences, workshops and thematic training responding to contemporary social, ethical and spiritual issues. A significant part of its mission focuses on supporting the CDEF and its components, including the Noël-Mailloux Chair in Ethics of Care and Bioethics, the Évangile Théologie et Vie chair, the School of Philosophy and the Dynamic Archives.

Through the funds it distributes, FCUD contributes to the academic and spiritual life of Dominican University College students, researchers and teachers, and to a wider public interested in reflection on current issues in light of theology and philosophy.
