Grant and Funding Programs Offered by Académie Lafontaine Foundation

The Académie Lafontaine Foundation is a charitable organization created in March 2010 following a long‑term sustainability plan adopted by Académie Lafontaine in Saint‑Jérôme, Québec. It has its own board of directors made up of parents, employees and alumni, and plays a central role in mobilizing philanthropic support to enhance the school’s learning environment and services.

The Foundation’s mission is to support the development of young people by providing financial backing for school projects that align with Académie Lafontaine’s values and educational vision. It helps develop educational and recreational services for students and offers direct financial assistance, notably through excellence scholarships and annual bursaries presented at academic and sports awards galas and at graduation ceremonies.

Using funds raised through lotteries, benefit events, corporate partnerships and individual donations, the Foundation finances concrete projects within the school. These include improvements to learning spaces and sports infrastructures, as well as the creation of innovative outdoor environments such as sports fields, forest classrooms, educational gardens and wooded trails. The objective is to offer students stimulating, inclusive places that foster well‑being, exploration and eco‑responsibility.
