LightWave

ightWave® is Jonah Group's development methodology. It is a set of processes, tools, and best practices that help design and deliver software efficiently with low risk, while providing our clients an excellent experience. LightWave® is a synthesis of ideas from Jacobson's use-case driven Object-Oriented Software Engineering method and lightweight methodologies like Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP) such as automated unit testing, continuous integration, and frequent, iterative delivery.  Where appropriate, Jonah plans to incorporate relevant elements of the LightWave® methodology into this Project. 

Scoping and Estimation

As stated earlier, Jonah Group enjoys an enviable record of zero failed projects since its inception 20 years ago.  A key contributing factor to this achievement is our ability to proficiently scope the requirements, accurately assess the efforts required and efficiently develop credible cost estimates.  Our estimation practices fall under the same continuous improvement process to which our management and development methodology are regularly subjected.

Once scope is mapped to high-level use cases or stories, our estimation model turns them into quantifiable build efforts before risks and complexities are factored into the estimation formulas.  The process can be as granular as needed to produce a high definition estimate.
