WHY BLUE CHIP PRODUCTIONS?

Quality & Passion

In a world where it is sometimes difficult to truly distinguish between products and services, our core philosophy is that quality matters and it drives what we do. Quality of finished product is only one part of the equation, as it carries through the entire engagement from start to end. We strive every day to find ways to improve the quality of our videos, processes and client relations.

Our Approach

Blue Chip strives to deliver innovative solutions for video marketing by gathered professionals from film, television, technology, digital marketing and traditional advertising disciplines. This meeting of the minds is essential to our approach that marries creative talent with business experience by first answering key questions before we start on any project:

  • What is the purpose of the video?
  • Who are the target audiences?
  • Where are the channels of engagement?
  • What are the desired results?
  • How do we measure success?

Defined Processes

As much as we are a creative company, we believe that proper project and account management are essential to success. As such, we establish a clear and easy to understand process with our clients from the start. Communication is one of the most important processes and as such we use an online project management tool to ensure that key stakeholders have access to the right information and nothing gets lost. Through each phase of the project, we provide documentation and approvals. The specific phases include:

  • Business Requirements
  • Creative Concepts & Story Boards
  • Project Plan
  • Implementation Plan

Staff & Equipment

Blue Chip deploys experienced, professional crews. Unlike many of the video providers available in the market, we do not use amateur crew. Each crew member assigned have been carefully selected, trained and vetted by us in order to ensure that they meet the quality expectations and their ability to understand and work within a busy office environment. Blue Chip’s Cinematic videos are shot with the latest equipment ranging from a Canon® Digital SLR, PMW F3 or RED Cinematic® cameras with additional lenses, lighting, dolly, jib and sound equipment. Although our cinematic approach requires more time, expertise and investment, the end result clearly demands the viewers’ attention and serves to differentiate from other videos.

Music / Voice / Graphics & Talent

Our producer will select from our in-house library of music or purchase as required. Either way, there are no license or royalty obligations. Our standard graphics package will include the display of the company logo along with captions where required, such as the name and title of the people that are featured in the videos.

HOW WE WORK

The following is a simple, step-by-step walkthrough of your experience working with Blue Chip Productions.

Business Requirements

A select group from both your company and Blue Chip will engage in a collaborative process to set out the objectives, measurements, and overall approach to the project. The final document (Creative Brief) will be used by both teams as the guiding document against which all of the following steps in our process will be developed.

Concepts & Storyboards

For the project, we will develop a concept document to highlight key aspects such as the style, tone and feel that will guide the production crew. From the concept document, our creative director will produce storyboards or creative concept that will help encapsulate a story to better engage the target audiences.

On-location Filming

Blue Chip works with a compliment of Producers and Directors of Photography (D.O.P.). Each Producer and D.O.P. is fully prepared and understands the Requirements, Story / Concepts for each shoot before they arrive. On-site teams usually consist of a Producer, D.O.P, Production Assistant / Grip.

Post-Production

Once the onsite crew has completed the required shoots and has captured sufficient footage, the content is sent to our studio for post-production and editing. In some cases, the videos have been edited during the on-site shoot, but further editing is required for the videos such as voice over, graphics and color correction. The rough cuts are uploaded for review and final edits are produced following the revisions.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

As the number of videos available across all genres increases, especially in the area of user generated content, the importance of search optimization becomes crucial in any video strategy. As an optional service, Blue Chip employs experts that focus on ensuring that through the videos for our clients has the best chance of being found on the major search engines, social media and networking sites.

Several optimization techniques are used depending on the channel, as each requires additional strategies for maximum ranking results.

Digital Asset Management (DAMS)

We believe that the key to our own success is establishing long-term relationships with our clients. After project completion, we catalogue and store all of your digital assets, including video footage, stills, logos, graphics and purchased assets. The archive of digital assets can be used on for re-purposing assets on future projects, saving our clients money and reinforcing a strong and mutually beneficial client-supplier relationship.
