How to apply
- Step 1: Register the application
- Create or use a ResearchNet account.
- Submit the CIHR registration stage.
- The Israeli co-lead must also complete ISF registration.
- Step 2: Prepare the full application
- Prepare the research proposal using the required headings.
- Prepare the knowledge mobilization plan and required budget documents.
- Prepare CVs and participant table for all required team members.
- Step 3: Upload required attachments
- Upload all mandatory documents in ResearchNet.
- Attach the Israeli budget PDF submitted to ISF.
- Include any required Indigenous experience attachment and collaborator CVs.
- Step 4: Submit and consent
- Review the full application in preview mode.
- Submit the final application through ResearchNet consent and submit.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first checked for relevance to the program objectives and research areas.
- Eligible and relevant full applications are reviewed by an international adjudication panel.
- Applications are ranked and funded from the top down.
- Successful teams are notified, and funding agreements are issued by the relevant partner agencies.
- Funded teams must submit a mid-term and final scientific report, plus financial reports.

- A webinar is available, but participation is not mandatory.
- Selected teams may be contacted during project implementation for additional information on results and impacts.
- Funded teams must acknowledge all supporting partners in publications and communications.
- Applicants must consent to sharing application information with funding partners for relevance review and funding decisions.
