Eligible expenses
- General administration, legal review of contracts, communications, website, meetings, and office equipment.
- Staff salaries, wages, contracts, honoraria, and benefits.
- Project delivery costs such as funding disbursement, content creation, translation, printing, travel, meals, accommodation, facility rental, uniforms, and equipment rental or purchase.
- Research, evaluation, data management, and reporting related to the project.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Awards, medals, trophies, and banquets.
- Capital costs, costs of sales, and fundraising.
- Discretionary severance and separation packages; gift cards.
- Litigation costs and legal fees unless specifically allowed; personal items, including individual-specific uniforms.
- Expenses incurred before fiscal year 2024-25.

- Atlantic: Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.
- Central Canada: Quebec and Ontario.
- Prairies: Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
- West: British Columbia.
- North: Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are acknowledged within two weeks of receipt.
- The application is reviewed for eligibility and completeness.
- Projects are evaluated against the program criteria and the quality of applications received.
- Funding and eligibility decisions are final.
- If approved, funding is provided under a contribution agreement and a final report is required; interim reports may also be requested.
