Selection criteria

How to apply
- File your 2025 income tax and benefit return.
- For the OEPTC and/or NOEC components, complete the applicable areas of Form ON-BEN on your return.
- To choose a delayed single OTB payment, tick box 61060 in the Choice for delayed single OTB payment area on Form ON-BEN when you initially file your return.
Processing and Agreement
- The Canada Revenue Agency will use the information from your 2025 return to determine your eligibility and entitlement for the OSTC.
- The CRA will send you a notice if you are entitled to receive the OTB.
- If you choose to wait to receive the OTB in one payment and later change your mind, you can call 1-877-627-6645 or write to your tax centre.
- If any of the listed situations occur during the benefit year, your accepted election will be revoked and any applicable retroactive entitlements will be issued at the same time.
