Stream 1 provides up to $10,000 to qualified non-profit organizations. Funding supports initiatives that promote, support, or enhance entrepreneurship or innovation for underrepresented communities in York Region and beyond.

Eligibility
- Applicant is a non-profit organization.
- Applicant can demonstrate a proven track record of delivering programs and services in York Region.
- Proposed initiative promotes, supports, or enhances entrepreneurship or innovation for underrepresented communities.

- Non-profit organizations delivering entrepreneurship or innovation programming
- Non-profit incubators, accelerators, and community partners serving underrepresented communities

- York Region (Ontario)
- Projects and activities that benefit York Region
Processing and Agreement
- Successful applicants must sign a Funding Agreement before funds are issued.
- Funding is disbursed within 30 business days after the agreement is signed.
- Recipients must submit a Final Project Report to demonstrate project completion.
Additional information
- Two qualified non-profit organizations are expected to be awarded under this stream.
- The fund supports nonprofits serving underrepresented communities and founders developing Agri-tech and Cleantech innovations.
- Projects may run for up to 10 months.
- A Final Project Report is required to demonstrate project completion.
